Our stimulus last week was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The story prior to this was The Three Little Pigs, which the boys loved, so I knew it would be a hard act to follow. I embellished the story slightly and used dramatic effect a lot and it went down well! The boys loved her falling out of the broken chair, and the bears chasing her away at the end!
Here is a rough overview of what we covered with my little class.
English:
Reading story, focusing on new vocabulary
Maths- ordering the bears by size, discussing biggest and smallest
Art- We made the three little bears using paper plates and felt. We also made Goldilocks!
Science- we made porridge and discussed hot and cold.
Sensory play- exploring dry oats, scooping, pouring , using verbs to describe our actions.
History- sequencing pictures of the three little bears.
