Hello everyone!
We had a Young Scientists Day today in Ballyconneely Hall. It went really well, with the only downside being the way we ran out of time and didn’t get to make our chocolate crunchie cake! Oh well, there’s always next time.  I had a list of ten experiments to do.. and we only got five of them done. The time just flew by! Thanks to everyone who came along and worked so hard on their experiments! It was lovely to see all the familiar faces and lots of new ones too! I saw a lot of future scientists in the making today!

Here’s what we got up to:

First of all we made sure we had all our materials ready:

 We made volcanoes. I think this experiment was the most popular, probably because of the ‘explosion’ factor.( I couldn’t find red food colouring any where, and so we had to use green!)

 And…Lava lamps!

 We made lemonade! Note: leave the bread soda out of the recipe! It tastes disgusting!
