Summer Camp 2014- Day Three
Hello everyone!
Here is the third and final installment of Ballyconneely Summer Camp 2014. Today was the last day, so it was a little less structured.
Here’s what we did:
10:00-11:00- Group murals. We divided into groups of three. We talked about the beach first and about the types of fish you see at the beach, colours at the beach, sharks, etc. After this brainstorming, we divided into groups of three.
Each group was given a long sheet of wallpaper to complete the mural on. The art work came out beautifully, but I don’t know where to put them now! I bought loads of rolls of wallpaper one day in a charity shop for 50cent each. I knew I would find a use for them!
11:00-11:20- Lunch
11:20-12:00 – Science- We went outside to make a giant, explosive lava lamp. We put in lots of alka seltzer tablets, stood very far back and watched the reaction. We then made a gigantic volcano, which was very exciting!
12:00- Party time! We has the prize giving ceremony, musical chairs and the party. Then it was time to go home!
Thank you so much to all the parents and children who supported my camp. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!
